J D Currie Youth Camp,  Camas, WA
  Welcome to Camp Currie!

Just 3 miles outside of Camas, WA, this semi-wilderness setting is a short manageable drive even from Portland, OR.

Its rustic lodge, covered outdoor mess hall, 3 Adirondack camp cabins, and multiple tent camp sites make a great camping resource for organized youth groups large and small.

A woodland chapel and larger natural amphitheater are idyllic environments for spirit filled ceremonies, recognition, and teaching.

Besides being a beautiful diversion from city life, J. D. Currie Youth Camp is a departure to simpler more innocent times.

Its primitive evergreen canopy conceals inhabitants in a multi-acre wonderland of moss covered firs, ferns, and winding forest trails.

Located on the north shore of LaCamas Lake, Camp Currie is home to a variety of wild life including, Osprey, ducks, turtles, Bull-frogs, Blue Herons, deer, rabbits, and the occasional Bald Eagle.

Mission Statement

Maintain the camp resource in perpetuity, providing a safe area where our youth
can experience the lessons of leadership in the outdoors, a semi-wilderness of natural
and primitive beauty. The camp and premises are available to all organized youth
groups and subsists on donations and volunteer management.
